Halloween Milkshake

Trick or Treat?
Well, why not both?
The kids had so much fun making Halloween milkshakes, experimenting with different flavors and ingredients to create crazy potions in true witch style.

The beauty with these shakes is, you can use whatever you like depending on the theme in mind, you could use strawberries to create blood, or even my beloved pumpkin for a candy corn looking milky Halloween treat.

These slime green milkshakes are not only ghoulishly freaky looking and decorated with creepy sweeties for treaties, but also jam packed with fruit and calcium.

Ingredients
2 Glasses of whole milk
2 Scoops of vanilla ice cream (any flavour will do)
1 Banana mashed
Food colouring (I used blue and yellow to create the green)
Selection of spooky sweets (I used Teeth, laces and eyeballs)
Strawberry sauce
Squirty cream
Halloween themed sprinkles
Halloween themed glasses
Halloween themed straws

Method

  1. In a blender, mix the food colouring with the milk, banana and ice cream, until smooth and slime coloured.
  2. Spread the strawberry sauce over the rim of the glass and then down the sides inside the glass.
  3. Tip some sprinkles into a bowl. Dip the glass into the sprinkles and they will stick around the glass rim.
  4. Add some scary sweets and hang the laces over the side of the glass to represent veins.
  5. Squirt the cream on the top of the milk and decorate with the teeth, eyeballs and more sprinkles.
  6. Add your straw and serve.
